Scholarship Programme for Children of National Defence Services

In this special Scholarship Programme, eligible families will be extended structured tuition fee concessions, thereby ensuring equitable access to highquality education within our campus. The programme exemplifies the school’s mission to foster inclusivity, uphold equity, and formally recognize National Service as a cornerstone of civic responsibility.
By extending educational opportunities to the children of Defence families, PVM International School seeks not only to honour their legacy but also to empower future generations with knowledge, values, and leadership. 1. Policy Statement
In recognition of the distinguished service and sacrifice of the National Defence Forces, PVM International School extends structured tuition fee concessions to the wards of Defence personnel. This initiative reflects our institutional commitment to honouring national service and ensuring equitable access to quality education.
2. Concession Provisions
A 50% concession in tuition fees shall be accorded to the wards of National Defence Services personnel who have:
- sacrificed their lives while in active service (“died in harness”), or
- been formally designated as battle casualties by the competent military authority.
This provision embodies the institution’s solemn recognition of supreme sacrifice and ensures that the educational aspirations of bereaved families are supported with dignity and equity.
A 25% concession in tuition fees shall be extended to the wards of National Defence Services personnel who are presently serving the nation or have retired from active duty.
This underscores our enduring commitment to supporting the families of those who protect the nation’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
3. Application & Verification Process
Step 1: Initial Contact
Interested National Defence Services personnel should reach out to the PVM International School campus to express their intent to apply for the scholarship concession.
Step 2: Guidance and Orientation
The school’s Admissions Team will provide comprehensive guidance on the scholarship process, including eligibility criteria, required documentation, and procedural timelines.
Step 3: Verification and Documentation
Applicants will be assisted in submitting relevant documents for verification to ensure compliance with institutional requirements.
Step 4: Seat Availability Confirmation
The school will inform applicants regarding seat availability in the desired grade or programme.
Step 5: Completion of Formalities
With administrative support, applicants will finalize the admission and scholarship concession process, ensuring a smooth transition into the academic programme.
4. Eligibility Documentation
To avail of the concession, applicants must submit:
- Documentary proof of Defence service status, casualty declaration, or retirement certificate issued by the competent authority.
- Standard admission documents as prescribed by the school.

Note: Concessions are applicable strictly to the tuition fee component and do not extend to supplementary charges such as transport, uniforms, educational materials, or extracurricular activities.
